computer issues boarding at seatac?
Am at the gate for flight 8 to EWR and they just told everyone to sit down because they are having computer issues and can't board. Anyone else at a SeaTac gate with similar issues. I wonder if I am the only lucky flight or if it is airport or system-wide.

Just landed at LAX from PDX and we can't pull into the gate because they're all occupied with flights that are struggling to board their planes. Thankfully we must have left PDX just before the crash happened.

Same issues here at PDX....although OLCI last night probably saved me from missing the flight to ORD. Biggest check-in lines I've ever seen. AS had operations people walking the lines to help, although not much they could do. Even in this day and age, hard to believe that these things continue to happen. Given that the only way to sell and assign seats on planes is electronic, backups need backups which need backups. UA learned that a few weeks ago.
Our flight left on time as the systems came back up probably around 9am.

Yep - Sabre systemwide outage. AS went down, along with JetBlue, American, Southwest, WestJet, Sun Country, LAN, oodles of airlines around the world, plus all of the agency stuff, including Expedia, Travelocity, etc... Somebody in Texas has got some serious explaining to do.

Onboard AS675 ORD-PDX and the pilot just announced we can't push back because AS's computers are down. The weather's finally cooperating for flying out of ORD and AS IT fails us. Looks like it could be a long Friday night.
