Possible to book unpublished connection on A+ one way?

Hey all- I'm currently booked on a flight next week, one way, on Southwest, going BUF-BWI-EWR. Ideally, I'd like to fly into LGA, and while I could do it on WN, it's cheaper for me to convert WN points to FL credits and book a one way award BUF-ATL-LGA.

Problem is, that's not a published connection. Is there any way to book that as a one way and get it for the 8 credit price as opposed to the 16 the website tries to knock me for if I try to book as an open jaw?

Thanks in advance!

The short answer is call the A+ CSR.

The long answer is why bother?

I paid $49 the last time I did EWR-BUF.

I ultimately did call, and was told it wasn't possible.

What $49 did you pay?

It was 5 years ago on a CO flight..

Go to itasoftware.com and press on the search airfares now link

I see $65 midweek flights from both JFK and LGA

EWR is more expensive at appx $120

FWIW, I used to fly this route regularly while visiting my parents. One of my grad degrees is from UB and I grew up in the shadow of LGA. I distinctly remember paying a OW fare of $94 during the 70's (I think that I was on an AA 727). Present fares are not so bad

That doesn't answer anything that I'm asking. I'm well aware of the various options I have on US to LGA, DL to LGA and JFK, CO/UA to EWR, and B6 to JFK for starters, but they don't accept WN points (obviously) as a form of payment which is how I want to pay.

Plus, another goal here is to fly on AirTran before it is dissolved into Southwest.

I thought that you were looking for the least expensive route from BUF to LGA

I should have been clearer. My apologies.

While I understand your intent and this other airline suggestion have you considered the value of the points versus the other airlines.

You could afterall burn those points flying a longer route, even international versus a short route. 38,400 points woud likely find BC availability just about anywhere FL operates.

Bang for the buck!

The real answer is you cannot do it and even if you call res 100x they will not be able to do it. The almighty powers that be prevent you from booking such a circuitous field trip for various reasons, each of those reasons is as valid as the next. If this was a case of a misbegotten connection such as one user who pointed out that he/she wanted to fly DEN-ATL-RSW on a specific unpublished connection which was just outside of the normal parameters and didnt make the cut the powers that be showed mercy in granting access. No such luck on this one I fear.
