Elite renewal came w/2 drink coupons!
Hi all,
Yesterday I received mail from AirTran saying I had successfully renewed my A+ Elite status (this showed up in my online account a week and a half ago, roughly). Included in the envelope were a new Elite card with an expiration date in 2011 (otherwise identical to my current card), a letter listing some A+ Elite benefits (also said that "less than 2% of AirTran Airways customers ever experience" these benefits), ads for their credit card and for Teleflora, and two drink coupons - the first I have ever seen or heard of from FL.
I did a search here on FT, and found one mention of drink coupons on AirTran from 2004. Has anyone here now seen a drink coupon from AirTran?
P.S. - The coupons expire at the end of 2010.

Interesting. I will likely hit my status renewal target next month, so I'll report back what I get.
Last week, I did get an e-mail from "AirTran Elite/A+ Visa" that included two $50 vouchers good through the end of 2010. Those came in handy, that's for sure.
I assume these only went out to the A+ Visa cardholders who are also elite. This appeared to coincide with the annual renewal fee on the credit card, which is only $39. So, it's like waiving the annual fee plus giving an additional $61. Not too shabby.

The $50.00 vouchers became available earlier this year to all A+ Signature Visa card holders. A nice benefit when compared to the competition. Especially for those of us in this competitive MKE market.
I never got a card either. I went on to the website and requested a new card, and that also never showed up.
Getting any kind of card from AirTran can be a chore. Making a request from the website is essentially useless. It usually takes several emails and your email making it to an interested rep at AirTran.
AirTran blames the printer for the card not showing up.
