Thumbs up 9W applied for Flight to San-Francisco via Europe.

As per Times of India news, Now Jet Airways has applied for San Francisco via Eurpoe .

Hope 9W will get this route & finally this route will work for them.

I think this application is help to connect to UA out of what is now gradually becoming a pseudo hub for 9W at LHR. I dont think 9W is looking at flying their metal to the west coast any time soon!

They already are flying their metal to the west coast...BOM-PVG-SFO (although they are discontinuing this route soon). My guess is that the believe they will have better loads via LHR.

Considering the cost of a slot in LHR, my bet is on BRU

OTOH, with the 9W 777 going to TK on wetlease, where is the capcacity

You know, it will be several months before all the paperwork is done - and there isn't any sense keeping 332s or 777s parked for that long, I guess?

unless the cost of paying the lease while the a/c just sits on the ground is less than the loss they would make operating it on low yields and loads
