USA phone number always busy on Air India

I have tried calling Air India for 3 days-
800-223-7776, it is always busy.

I am trying to make seat selection in Business Class for a flight.

Most of their numbers on their website do not work.

Do you have any suggestions.

When I go to their website " Manage Bookings"- it does not allow you to pick a seat.

Thanks.

If you have a choice of airline, please don't chose AI.

But JFK-BOM, JFK-DEL,ORD-FRA-BOM, are the BEST options from US.

Book with a TA. A colleague just booked with make my trip.com and they even joined a feeder DL flight to JFK into the booking so he is protected against domestic misconnects.

Try cleartrip.com - great service, great site. Or try travelocity.co.in - support personnel are not the brightest bulbs in the chandelier but they do provide 10% cashback and companion free offer on visa signature / plat cards.

Tried reaching AI on the 7776 number today, on hold for over 20 minutes twice before I gave up. The on-hold music stops after 15 minutes, which is a little disconcerting. Then I tried the 2250 number, an agent picked up before the first ring had finished ringing. Oh well!
