I see that AI has a fare one way BKK-EWR in first for about 3k (AI BKKNYC F1 fare ) (it seems that you can even use thai) it stops in frankfurt. The question that I have is can you do a one day stopover with this fare? the rules say " UNLIMITED FREE STOPOVERS PERMITTED."
I tried to call ai but was left on hold for 45 minutes. I cant seem to book it online anywhere. Anybody have any info?
it seems a good deal. If you can, try and get the BKK to FRA on TG connecting with FRA to EWR on AI. It seems like a nice combination. It would be a good comparison of AI and TG.
with my basic understanding, unlimited stopovers mean you can stop in FRA for a few days if you like and then continue onwards. Many one way tickets have no/or minimum restrictions, i bet you the fare is probably refundable as well.
