New partnership with JetBlue
German "Handelsblatt" reports today on a new partnership between AB and B6. After AA canceled their transatlantic partnership with AB last year AB has now found a new strategic partner.
Handelsblatt writes that the partnership will start at JFK, BOS and MCO. Further talks are under way.
It is expected that today an official statement will be made by AB and B6.
IMO this is great news. Joint fares and codeshare operations will bring back AB as a viable option for those with destinations in B6's network, especially in touristic warm water destinations. And after announcing ORD and YYZ as destinations I hope that AB's north american network will grow and offer a much needed alternative to the existing carriers.
