"Thank You For Your Loyalty"

AB newbie, status matched for a random flight I took. However, I have been crediting my AA flights there. Quick question, I see a bonus 4,000 points added to my account that says "Non-Airline Accrual- Thank you for your loyalty. Is there rhyme or reasons to this? Is it a bonus based on how much I credit, as in can I unlock another bonus based on X amount of flying? TIA

This is a one time bonus caused by unreliability of the service recetly. See the thread on Service Apology: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/airbe...-pr-stuff.html

Unreliability? Well, that's putting it mildly.
