topbonus Gold flying Virgin Australia to LAX.. Melbourne Etihad Lounge Access

Hi all

I am wondering if someone might be able to let me know whether a topbonus Gold member would be allowed access to the Etihad lounge in Melbourne when flying Virgin Australia to LAX?

I'm thinking that this might not be possible given that VA are not included in the official Etihad partner program.

Thanks for your help.

No. Lounge access is for Velocity frequent fliers only when flying VA and using contracted lounges. You will not have any lounge access.

I was flying VA from NAN-SYD two years ago when I was TB Gold, and had no lounge access. However, I was able to get in the QF lounge on a FJ flight from SYD-NAN, it was codeshare with QF. I think you can get lounge access if the flight is codeshare with an OW airline.
