Crediting for INVOL rerouted itineraries

My experience so far was that AB is quite good in rerouting in case of IRROPS (at least the outstation in CPH is, where it is actually SK ground agents that do that). But they are quite gladly rerouting my on other carriers, outside OW, often on *A (given that CPH is a *A hub). This way I loose the points I would have normally earned on AB, and re-qualification becomes a gamble.

Has anybody succeeded in getting originally due miles credited in such cases? How?

You should definitely try to ask for the original route credited to your account; I would suggest an email or letter to topbonus.

A few years ago this was a given thing at AB and other airlines. My experience in the last few years is that it's now rather a slim chance. Has probably to do with the missing authority of agents and even supervisors. Which is one of the main problems of todays aviation industry IMO. In an IRROPS situation even things that don't cost the airline money are not easy to get - a happy customer doesn't count in todays excel sheets...

Thanks! Writing the platinum email actually worked! I was manually credit, probably the right amount of miles (as I cannot figure out the original booking class; the on-line record has been updated to the rerouting and AB invoices do not seem to list a booking class).
