Early baggage drop off at DUS?
I have an evening domestic German flight on AB from DUS to TXL. Yet I will already arrive in the early afternoon by train.
If I arrive 4-5 hours before departure, would it be possible to already drop off my baggage at a check-in counter given there are lots of daily domestic flights on AB?
Anyone with personal experience on this or with a definite answer?
Given I have some important work to do would prefer to sit out those hours in the lounge having already done drop-off/check-in (which I can do online as well).

To answer my own question (as future feedback for if anyone else wants to know):
Yes early bag drop-off/check-in is possible. It is even possible a day earlier, although for a fee (but free for golds/almost everyone who is member of Top Bonus)

11:30am for a 6:55pm flight - but as far as I understood any same day drop offs/checking in (if its opened!) should be fine.
Clocking in a work shift in the early afternoon from the lounge and getting tipsy on German sparkling wine and Bitburger beer as we speak.
Thank god there are at least mini Wiener Schnitzels for some food here!

There are general check in counters for Airberlin flights - e.g. not specific for flights. You can even drop luggage at 5am for an evening flight (also w/o a fee). Only the day advance luggage drop is for a fee.
