Yup they do. In addition, you can request them to send you an official confirmation letter to prove your matched status validity. ^

Speaking of which, my status was matched 10 days ago and QR's system recognized it for my trip right now!

Do you need to add you Topbonus # directly to your OW reservation in order for OW Sapphire status to be reflected or should it appear no matter what airline you're crediting towards?

When you input your AB TB number online, it will show your status on the BP. I have tried it for paid flight and award flights.

Right, but what if you don't want to credit your flights to topbonus? I'm curious about leveraging the OW Sapphire perks whatever airline you're crediting to.

Just change it back to the program you want before boarding, either online or at the counter.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the gold card to arrive after being matched?

Yep - might happen - AA is on SABRE, while US is on EDS SHARES until later this year, when they also move to SABRE. Strange things might happen during the transition period...

And this is possible with any airline? I'd like to use my topbonus Gold card and credit to AA because I'll be flying JAL, and if I'm reading this topbonus page correctly, only four booking codes in economy earn anything at all.

On their status match page, they explicitly say that Platinum status is excluded.

I got that official confirmation letter, but has anyone had any luck with airlines actually accepting that in lieu of a card...?

Yes, they exclusively did so in april. Might still do that.

From LH HON as well as from FB Platinum.
