FTD: Mehdorn states to bring back AB into profitability 2013
Financial Times Germany today states Hartmut Mehdorn, AB CEO, declaring that AB will be profitable again in 2013 after five years of losses. Mehdorn took over as CEO in 2011 from Joachim Hunold.
AirBerlins last published Revenue of 2010 was 3.7 Billion Euro with a loss of 97 Mio. Euro, 8.900 employees, 33.5 Mio pax and a fleet of 169 aircraft. Currently AB has a fleet of 146 planes, including 9 operated by Belair, 14 operated by TUIfly, 6 operated by Germania and 10 operated by LGW. 18 787-8 are on order. (Source: Wikipedia.de)
