Question Changes to FF booking

Hi

I have booked an award flight using United miles on Air NZ metal in I class. Unfortunately, some of the shorter leg (SYD <-> AKL) aren't the best - 5 hour stop over on the way over, and 12 hours on the way back.

United, didn't seem overly helpful, is it possible to ask Air NZ to change my itinerary. All I wish to do is fly on the same day to the same place just at a different time.

I would call UA again and ask them to look for something better. If UA's call centre is anything like AC's, if you get an unhelpful agent, politely hang up and call back.

I have successfully made numerous changes to numerous award bookings, involving both AC and NZ metal.

You're 100% correct. Another CSR managed to change one of the flights so my 12 hour stop over is now 19 hours - enough time to have a quick look around Auckland.

hey jso. if youve booked a award booking with united, then only united can change it. of course, you could call air nz call centre and see if there is any availability first. ive dealt with united quite a few times and almost always get completely frustrated. unfortunately united have the worst call centre/ customer service. good luck in dealing with them mate.

I recently signed up for the KVS/ANA combo, works like a hot dam_ for checking award availability.

I have honestly no idea how a hot dam can be better than a cold one. Perhaps the turbines spin faster. Something import for the kiwis with all their hydro :-)

I was really happy with United's service. I think it helped that I had the flight numbers and dates so they could just punch them in and that it was NYE and the call volumes were low, but I can not complain.
