so what are the scenarios
1) no seats are released, but AirNZ puts up the sold put sign to imply they were and all purchased
2) they are loaded for sale and sold to people who just happened to be looking in the right place at the right time, all this happening before we are advised they are for sale, and by the time they are advertised for sale all seats have already been purchased
3) internet connection too slow

seems the issue of BOTs recognised as I have to enter a code to proceed with my booking. Well done AirNZ - much easier to get a booking made.
