Correct me if I am wrong - but I am pretty confident that Row 2 on the A320 has seatback PTV's. I'm pretty sure this is the reason I always take 2A on tasman 320 flights.
I hate the NZ online seat selector so much when traveling with 4 passengers. It makes it painfull to select a seat. say for people traveling on a A320 puts them in 16ABCD when i want 16AB--E.
Why don't they let you split you group up!
So of course I had to ring NZ up & got the rudest guy on the phone. He was like "what you can do it online".

Or you can fly J in A320 so that you will always AB EF

You are correct - row 2 did have seatback screens, whilst row 1 had pull out screens.
I looked through this thread, and didn't see any mention of this:
On the 777 in business, are there any seats that are better to see out the window? I like looking out the window, but it doesn't look to easy. I'm in 4A (NRT-CHC-AKL) and 4K (AKL-BNE) currently.
All 'A' and 'K' seats are completely equal in terms of seeing out the window. To clarify, the viewing itself isn't hard, but you do need to twist your upper body to do so which isn't comfortable for extended periods.
On the 767s by the looks of it, the online seat selector it doesn't allow you to seat a group of 4 people in ether two rows of AB or JK. It forces you to go ABDE or EFJK. It used to let you do this
Even Jetstar allows you to select a seat per person, I cant stand how the NZ one doesnt allow you to atleast say who gets what seat.
What if you want to put someone in your group (e.g you 15yo sister) in row 40E, while you want 19A or 19K
Sorry if I missed the discussion of this, but how does the legroom in row 36 on the 747 LAX-AKL compare to the exit rows 43 and 53? I am currently booked in 53 next to the galley, but 36 is still wide open. 36 looks appealing because of its relative quietness, but I am just over six feet and would like to be able to stretch out my legs on the longhaul. Thanks.

I've sat in 36A before and the bulkhead is curved. So you have increased legroom however it curves towards you if that makes sense. This allows the people in PE to recline there seat back. However because the curved bulk head comes towards you it makes it rather awkard to get out of your seat and climb over other pax legs because you sort of have to lend towards the PAX.
