EZE to AKL award flights
Trying to book a flight from EZE to AKL anytime in January of next year (2018) with united miles and can't find the flights at all.
Any ideas?. Is it possible to book Air New zealand flights with united miles from Air New Zealand website?.
United website doesn't even show the option of the direct flight, even if you want to buy it
Thanks!

Air NZ does not fly this route every day. And sells most of the seats. So does not release very many seats for rewards to other airlines.
Business class seats are very hard to find if at all. I am booked in business in a couple of months and the cabin is already sold out.
The Air NZ programme is structured so that it's members have currency to buy any seat that is for sale on any flight. So Air NZ does not have to open specific reward seats for it's own members.

Guessing UA doesn't offer to buy on their site as they don't Code Share that flight? Airlines don't code share every flight and on the whole EZE-AKL would be a long detour, so they don't code share it.
