Potentially Exclusive Brethren charter flight to see a leader. There were four extras at Wellington this morning (789, A320 from Auckland, A320 from Christchurch, ATR from Nelson). Palmerston North A320 earlier in the week was mentioned to be related to this, so maybe related. Watched 789 come in and leave.

And I thought it was ambush marketing of the United function tonight to celebrate them bringing flights to NZ back on Sunday.....

According to here: http://www.thenzsource.com/air-new-z...mestic-extras/

Air New Zealand Boeing 787-9 ZK-NZE operated an additional Auckland – Wellington sector this morning as NZ1911. The aircraft then remained on the ground at Wellington until late in the afternoon when it operated back to Auckland as NZ1912.

Totally agree. I wonder how the BP/PE seat were allocated (to elites / golds / Koru)?

Hope there was more than the usual cheese and wine for those sat at the front too but suspect that it was just the standard offering.

I think it was a charter wasn't it? So usual customers wouldn't have been on-board.
