Advice of 787 schedules AKL-SYD

Hi all, I am planning to do a trip to WLG & AKL in either April or early May. Can anyone advise if there are any 787s scheduled on either a Sunday (all day) or Monday (am only) during this period?

Much appreciated.

In my experience the equipment scheduling tends to be quite unpredictable between AKL and SYD, though the 789 is often scheduled on the 9:00 AM Sunday flight.

Does this change in January 2016? I booked a flight for the SYD-AKL leg and there was no 789 option.. only 777-200 and 767.

AKL-SYD-AKL is very flexible, pretty much no two weeks are the same. They constantly make changes on this route subject to demand.

Yes, that's par for the course.

My last roundtrip AKL-SYD, there were no less than half a dozen equipment change within 2 weeks of the flights.

At one point my outgoing segment went from: 767 -> 77E -> 789 -> 772

And they might not necessarily (re)assign a seat you might like, not so much an issue for an up-gauge, but mightily annoying if it's down-gauged...
