My mother has about 40k Flying Blue miles expiring on Dec 31.
It's my understanding that I can book a miles redemption on US domestic flights on Flying Blue, say, Washington DC to LA. The availability is more limited than doing it through Delta, but still possible. If so, with the Dec. 31 deadline, as long as I booked the miles redemption before then, even if the actual flight was in March 2017, that would immediately use the points and then the issue of them expiring which pretty much be moot. Correct?

I have a few flights coming up on AF/KL and wanted to know what benefits I would get on flights from Nantes as an elite plus?
They don't seem to have a lounge or priority security, and I won't be travelling with luggage on any of the trips, so it seems that I will only get priority boarding, is that correct?

No AFAIK, Adria is Star Alliance and FlyingBlue is a part of Air France and KLM which are SkyTeam.

Most of them are Skyteam members: they earn status miles and segments flights
Others can only earn award FB miles and/or spend it for flights.

Thanks everyone. Reason I ask is because Adria shows up on Air France's partner airlines. http://www.airfrance.us/US/en/common...partenaire.htm

Advice appreciated:
Air France flights within Europe, cheapest is "Light" ( Light Senior shows in the search), says 1 hand carry ( @12kg) plus personal and that checked luggage is paid extra. Am I entitled to free checked bag as Flying Blue Platinum? This will be my first flight with Air France since attaining that level ( and in any case even when Gold on KLM I seem to recall getting free checked bag on cheap fares).
Cheers.
