Hertz President Circle for FB Platinum, new hidden perk?

In the household we received the first new French Platinum set including the renewed card, the new brag tags and a little hertz flyer at the back of the letter signed by the Director of Flying blue.
This says that as FB Platinum we enjoy free access to Hertz PC (and 2 other 1 time use offers) but what's even more interesting is that I couldn't find any mention of its duration in time! Neither on the paper or on the website indicated (hertz.com/flyingblueplatinum).

When I received my Platinum card last novembre in the UK I had similar offer but I remember it was limited to 12 months. Does that means we remain PC as long as we are FB Plat?
Did anyone else received that?

Interestingly my partner and I (both NL based Plat) received our tag package renewal cards this week, containing different offers.

We are both (by means of Amex) Hertz President's Circle since a few months ago already. My offer was from Hertz, incl the PC status offer and various discounts. My partner received an AVIS offer, incl extra Award Miles for rental, but also a status upgrade to Avis President Club.

No idea why there is a difference.

Same here. I am platinum and my so is platinum FB through Amex and one received the Avis offer and the other the Hertz offer. In our case the different offers are quite useful

Similar on this end - we both received the AVIS offer. I'm already holding the Hertz PC card.

And the final one came today with an Avis offer ! I'm wondering if these are randoms and can be used no matter the one you received ...
I will test and let you know

(PS: Just had a look into AVIS and I don't really like how it works, much less control, higher prices on a few things I checked compared to Hertz but seems slightly simpler booking process. I may give a try though as I've always always used Hertz.)

EDIT: The AVIS offer works for any Platinum, just follow the instructions at avis-flyingblue.com/platinum

Thanks, I also got the Hertz offer last year, this seems quite handy except Avis have a long history of forgetting to credit extra miles from my experience, and you have to contact them multiple times to get it sorted.

Got the AVIS one. Had to fish it out of the waste-paper basket to check, as that's where all FB promotion stuff ends up unread.

I avoid AVIS like the plague, have had too many issues with them over the years.

hertz.com/flyingblueplatinum for some reason redirects me to https://www.hertz.fr/p/partners/flyingblueplatinum. In an interesting mix of French and English I'm encouraged to sign up for Gold Plus Rewards and promised a "passage rapide au statut President Circle".

I didn't notice and didn't receive any email about this but FlyingBlue and Hertz have changed the earning scheme as well as the benefits:
https://www.flyingblue.com/earn-and-...ar-rental.html

It's now a spending based system with 5 miles per euro spent.
Also the perks for the elite is now officialised:
https://www.hertz.fr/p/partners/flyingblueplatinum
https://www.hertz.fr/p/partners/flyingbluegold
https://www.hertz.fr/p/partners/flyingbluesilver

In short, Silver and Gold get 5* + (20€ voucher + double miles) x1
Platinum (as reported before) get PC + (30€ voucher + triple miles) x 1

To me this looks like a first measurable perk for the Hertz PC status...

I have been avoiding AVIS like the plague, it simply has the most confusing, customer unfriendly, kafkaesque dysfunctional online presence one can imagine... Highlights include that login only works in one specific country site, once logged in one is asked to create a new account (?!), one has several customer numbers, it's impossible to figure out what status one has, the mobile phone app never returns any availability (always technical error), and so on.

For a rental in Iceland this summer AVIS is the only car rental firm that serves the place where I want to drop off the car, so I called them. Despite the website saying that they have no cars and the iphone app saying that there is a technical error (as usual) there apparently were cars. Took the chap on the phone 30 minutes to quote a price, apparently he was battling with the same rubbish system that customers get to use as well, prices were horrendous, then he explained to me that my AWD number would not be applied to this rental...

One could now either turn to Avis and tell them how bad they are, or turn to Sixt and beg them to increase their coverage.

I never tried to login to any site other than avis.nl, in some countries it is a franchise and so that might be the reason.

As FB member, you should probably use avis-flyingblue.com for bookings, where all you have to do is enter your last name and wizard number.

Other than that, as long as it comes to booking the car, getting to the location and receiving the car and returning it without being charged any additional costs, I have no complains to avis (not more than any other rental agency ), when it comes to their customer service it's a different story, I found out that only contacting them via phone actually helps, but issues are then usually resolved on the first call (missing miles, missing invoice, etc.)

Is there any offer to be matched to Avis status or do they only give you an upgrade voucher?

I took advantage of the Hertz offer for PC and i do regret not signing up for Gold Plus Rewards earlier, i do not care about upgrades as much as not having to wait ages at the counter!

By the way, Sixt will also status match FB cardholders either when signing up for their program or by request afterwards, i got matched to Sixt Gold when i was FB Gold.

You don't need a "status match" to not wait at the counter, it's enough to be a "normal" Avis Preferred member to be able to use the preferred desk

I have 3 upcoming bookings for the summer. I am Hertz PC, Sixt Platinum and Avis nothing but FB Plat.

- France: Hertz was cheaper as a new customer than Hertz PC so I booked as a new customer
- Indonesia: Avis was cheaper on avis-flyingblue.com/platinum than on any other Avis page
- Australia: same as France

Sixt was not available in Indonesia and Australia, at least at the place we are visiting.
