It is so typical of KLM to use descriptions of manipulative goals and internal programs inadvertently in their marketing communications with customers. Can you say "half-hearted amateurs from a tiny country with appallingly low professional standards "?

Reminds me of the previous communication to family member AMEX holders (who are automatically entitled each year to the level of the main cardholder) of: "Although you did not qualify for Platinum this year, we are providing you this year only, on an exception basis, with a continuation of your Platinum status" or the welcome text on klm.com and communication to the Lifetime Platinum Elite with 100000+ current year level miles with "we are pleased to welcome you for this coming year as a "public relations member".

FB screws you on earning them, while DL screws you on burning them. It all evens out in the end.

Why not join a real ff program like AA, CO, or UA? Also significant is that none of these carriers has the massive ''foreign origin surcharge'' that use of DL miles incurs for those of us living in Europe.

Indeed, this is so typical, so hilarious and so pathetic. The thing it reminds me of is the announcement of the change of mileage accrual for Alize from 150% to 125% a while ago with the 'subtitles' 'in view of the good load factor of Alize it is fine to lower earnings to 125%' on the KLM website!

This, however, is hilarious too!!! ^

Just got 6000 miles added to my account, with this so strangely worded description: ANTI CHURN CAMPAIGN 2009/10...

I am locate din France, have been platinum for 2 years and all i can think about is my FB activity being lower than last year (<10000 miles so far), my platinum level is at risk, so they must be thinking i've been flying with someone else...

Another 2 x 3000 miles credited 2 days ago, under the description "anti churn campaign 2009/10"... that's 12000 miles so far this month! Nice trend starting up there...

Typical for FB to post some randomly worded campaign to what seems to be a random selection of people.

Now 6 months through the year I'm a platinum member with only 4 flights this year and two of those only to try the A380 between LHR and CDG.... no Churn Campaign over here though

4.500 after 2 flights, 3.000 for the next 2 and 3.000 for all other flights^
But with an overall cap at 10500 it sounds strange the "3.000 for all other flights".
10500 - 4500 - 3000 -> just 3000 so the "all other" is just an other segment.

Anyway, my first 4500 [ANTI CHURN CAMPAIGN 2009/10] were just posted.

Just got 6K "ANTI CHURN" miles credited to my FB after a flight in Y from SIN to AMS. Have been an FB Gold for a number of years but lost all status when I decided to give my money to *A instead. IMHO, if KLM wants to keep it's loyal pax, they should go back to the old FB "system".

I only got miles for a BOOST 2010 CAMPAIGN MILES BONUS.

To be honest, anti-churn sounds much better for a promo called 'let's fly away'.

After my last flight - LHR to AMS - I got the following unexpected "bonus":

Transacties Bijgeschreven
*** 750

They count as level miles, too, and as a level segment. I wonder what the "***" description means?

Same here but it was two flights in Z that got extra segments credited.

Instead of 1500 award miles and 750 level miles for each flight they credited 750 plus 750 plus 1 segment twice per flight. In the end I get the extra segments but the correct amount of miles, would rather have had it the other way around...

xx/07/2010 KL xxxx XXX AMS Z 100 % 750
xx/07/2010 SPECIALE ELITE BONUS MILES 100% 750
xx/07/2010 *** 750
xx/07/2010 KL xxxx AMS XXX Z 100 % 750
xx/07/2010 SPECIALE ELITE BONUS MILES 100% 750

According to the terms of the promotion I will get AntiChurn miles for every flight with KLM/AF. However in my account I only see them for the flights were I received 100% mileage.

Anyone else with the same experience?
