Luggage Drop

Is there a secure place to temporarily store luggage in CDG? I have a very long layover in CDG (10 hours!) and plan to spend it downtown. I have done this before and left my luggage in the business lounge, but I don't like to do this because it is not secure (and probably not allowed, even though the lounge agent suggested it).

In other airports I have seen self serve lockers, or a storage room with an attendant. Any suggestions for CDG? I am connecting in 2C (both flights), but I don't mind going to another terminal for this purpose.

Hello guys,

This Friday I'm flying TXL-CDG-AMS with a 50 min connection time in CDG. I will have to go from 2D to 2F. Is this doable for someone who doesn't have much experience at CDG?

Thanks for your help!

Kind regards,
Maurits

You need 10mn at the utmost from the time you reach 2D in order to arrive at security in 2F1. Just follow the moving walkways to the TGV station and from there to 2F1. It is a simple straight line. . From security in 2F1, it is 5mn to any gate. So it is quite doable, except if your flight from TXL is late. If it arrives at a remote stand, you should also factor in an additional 15mn to reach 2D.

Enjoy your flights

I am afraid there is no official luggage storage in CDG. I would suggest having a drink at the lobby bar of the Sheraton (right above the combined RER/TGV station) and leaving the luggage at the entrance to the hotel in the baggage room.

There are self serve lockers in Gare du Nord where you arrive from CDG by the RER suburban train, but it just doesn't seem practical to take your luggage on the RER. In addition, you need to go up from the RER level to the mainline railway station and then back down one level to the lockers area, closer to the Eurostar/Thalys part of the station.

Flying Delta into CDG next week. Flight 22 (777) which I believe arrives at 2E at 7:45am. We are connecting onto Air France to Vienna at 9:40am which has been regularly departing from 2D. Is it an easy walk from 2E to 2D, and do we have to be bussed into 2E?

I assume that if the flight is on time, we would have plenty of time to connect. Anyone have any info on the latest we can arrive and still make the connection

Two hours is more than enough for your connection. It is an easy walk from 2E over moving walkways to the TGV station, crossing to the other side of the building and onto another set of moving walkways to 2D. It takes 10mn at the utmost from leaving the secure area in 2E (after clearing immigration) to arrival at the gate in 2D.

I have no personal experience of arrivals in 2E after the roof collapse, but I suppose you need to be bussed to 2E. If there is a change of terminals, it would take you 15mn at the utmost from the time you leave the secure area in 2F2 to reach the gate in 2D, no more than 10mn from 2C or 2A, the other long-haul terminals. If your aircraft parks at a remote stand, you should factor in an additional 15mn.

Have a nice flight .

Red face dfw-atl-cdg

I saw these directions posted earlier for someone else.

step 1: leave the bus at E Terminal
step 2: clear immigration
step 3: walk thru baggage claim and customs to F terminal
step 4: go thru security at the left wing in the F terminal
step 5: go to your boarding gate and again ... have a nice flight

I have never flown to this airport before and have seen horror stories about it on several sites. My question is what bus are you talking about and how do I get to it? I arrive at 2E and need to get to 2F. I only have 45 minutes. Is that even possible? I have called Air France, they tell me no problem. The guy told me not to even go to the regular customs line, but to go to my departure gate (2F) and the people at the counter would tell me what to do. That doesn't sound right.

Is there an online map of this airport so I can get an idea of what I am dealing with?

Thanks!

in this case you found the right steps to take.
on arrival at 2E clear immigration and customs, go landside, take the tunnel to 2F Terminal. and here you go.

(5mn for step 2)

3. take the escalators up, straight in front of the tunnel when arriving in 2F (1mn)
4. turn left and go towards Schengen departures security control (2mn)
5. clear security (variable, usually under 10mn, often even less)
6. walk to your gate (5mn for the most distant gate)

Enjoy your flights

Schengen/non-Schengen refers to a group of European countries between which there are no immigration controls. France and Italy are part of the Schengen zone
