Hi Goldorak. If you book the service and depart from CDG, do you get the whole service? I mean being met at the kerb, checked in, escorted to the lounge, etc...

Personally, I fail to see the benefit of doing it for 300 with a 10:45 departure. Arriving at 7 means checking out of the hotel at 6am. I would rather leave the hotel two hours later, have a quick breakfast there, then another one in the J lounge, then an excellent lunch onboard. And indeed, this is a busy time at the P lounge because of all the early longhaul arrivals from Asia and Americas for pax continuing to some European destination (plus the morning longhaul departures).

You (and I) may think like that, but for others the ground experience has as much money value as several return tickets in Europe. Of course for 300 EUR the OP could go and have a veryfancy dinner in a Michelin starred restaurant (even better than the lounge) and get an Uber Mercedes S class to drive him home (probably more scenic to drive along the Seine in Central Paris in the evening than driving on the tarmac of an airport for four minutes), if food and a nice car is what is what one is after. But to each his own, and only because you and I don't see the point (and we may be a little blasé because we get access to this and/or similar lounges often enough without paying extra for it) let's not spoil the pleasure for those who enjoy it.

Absolutely and no side effects with this medication, except if you exceed the toxic dose of champagne and foie gras

Hi Brunos
When you start from CDG, you have a special meeting point at 2E. If you arrive by car and be dropped there, there is a red "counter" outside the terminal where somebody will take care of taking your luggages after checking that you are on his list for the P pax or the ones who have purchased the service. If you are not dropped at the terminal, you go to this special la Premiere area inside the terminal. This is a large chic waiting room where you wait while they take care of your check-in. Then when this is done (without you), a P agent is escorting you through immigration (skipping all the line) and security (dedicated lane) and bring you to the lounge. Unless you depart after this person leaves work, this is the same person who will take care of bringing you to the plane.
So, yes you have the whole service.

I have to agree with you but OP may not have another opportunity to do it. That is his/her own choice and I fully respect that and I hope he/she will have a great time because this lounge and this service is just great.
On my side, for the one I just booked, my flight is at 7 pm and I intend to arrive at....1 pm . I will start by an aperitif with Champagne rosé with the super good maison Laborie saucisson 😋, followed by a delicious Ducasse plaza Athenée lunch. Then a massage and some duty free shopping I have to do and I am sure it will be already time for boarding !

Thank you all. Fully respect everyone's opinions and input. I am really keen on trying this as a once in a lifetime experience. I have heard so many great reviews on the ground treatement, a very sharp contrast to the reviews many have about CDG overall as an airport (especially those that don't have lounge access). Though I should take more caution on using the word "once". Afterall, don't underestimate the power of addiction! If it isn't available, I'll just chalk it up as extra hours of sleep at the hotel and a late evening fun at the Moulin Rouge the night before!

If that is the case, can I get there at 5:45, assuming it is already opened? Don't mind rescheduling my ride from the 7th arrondissement to 5:00. It will also allow me to enjoy the City of Lights in dark for one last time! Sure won't mind having my crossaint and baguettes at the lounge rather than the cafe.

I think they are already open at that time, but you can check when you'll call to book.

Thanks.
I have used the service several times in the past.
And it is a great ego trip to get to the lounge and to get from the lounge to the plane. Frankly, the 300 is not unreasonable if you get hte whole service.

However, getting there at 5:40 for a 10:40 departure is not my cup of tea. Although food is good, it is only a lounge and I don't find the seats comfortable. Once you spent 30 min for breakfast and another 30 for a quick massage (probably not available early anyway), I would get very bored.
As you pointed out, the situation is different if you are into drinking time. But even then a couple+ of hours would be the most I would program, including shower, massage and food/drink.

For those of you who have visited La Premiere lounge in CDG, what would you consider the minimum time to spend there in order to have a nice, non-rushed experience. I have a 90 min connection in CDG (short-haul to long-haul) on AF J award and was considering if it's worth the 300 euros?

The answer is clearly a big no in your case. Time to disembark, go to the lounge and re-embark, you will spend max 45 min in the lounge. Not worth 300€ !

I spent 6hrs there 2 weeks ago and it was not enough :-))
More seriously, I would say 3-4 hrs is a minimum for your 1st visit !

Hmm...would you pay US$1000 if it was only a 2-hour layover but included F on the CDG-JFK segment?

Well yes, but the F seat (or rather P) is not included in the price.

Goldorak, I have a 13:45 flight in P from CDG. How early should I arrive.

Lucky you
Your personal P travel planner proposes you 2 options :
1- arrive at 8 am, have breakfast in lounge, a bit of work or any other thing you want to do, aperitif in the lounge around 12, board around 13:15 and lunch on-board shortly after take-off
2- arrive at 9am, massage, a bit of work or any other thing you want to do, aperitif around 12 followed by a lunch in the lounge. Board, no lunch on-board or alternatively, have the main meal on-board later (as you can be served anytime in P).

Enjoy

+1. I think that under 3 hours would be a complete waste. I would personally start to consider paying for something above 5 hours (3 hours is enough to enjoy, but not enough of a difference with the regular lounge that I can access would justify paying some serious cash).

Yes, in my case, I can pay $1000 extra above the cost of business class, and get La Premiere on the CDG-JFK segment, but the layover in CDG is only 1h55m (my schedule--and AF's schedule--won't really permit me to force a longer layover). I guess I'd be most interested in a meal in the lounge and would have to skip the spa treatment. I wouldn't need a shower.
