Cool AF Exclusive Reception in Glasgow

There other threads on the re-introduction of the AF CDG-GLA service; however, I thought I would share this recent email:

Majesté,

To thank you for your loyalty as a Flying Blue member, and to celebrate the launch of our daily service from Glasgow to Paris, we warmly invite you and a guest to an exclusive reception at the magnificent Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum on 30th March.

We hope you can join us for an evening filled with Champagne, fine art, fashion, entertainment and more.

The event will be hosted by Mr Frédéric Gagey, CEO of Air France.

Now, as I have recently executed or exiled most of my Scottish friends, I thought there may be an AF aficionado here who might like to accompany me.

As an aside, I am currently looking at taking a trip on the first CDG-GLA flight (Sunday, 27th March, 07:30); an outbound GLA-AMS-CDG (full-fare Y) and return direct (CDG-GLA, in C) is looking like ~£500! If any potential guest can arrange a promotion code for a decent discount, that would help in selecting from the (no doubt, huge) list of would-be guests!

Post or PM me if you would like to be considered as an Imperial Escort!

-- Sa Majesté Impériale, Henri (Le Troisième de ce Nom)

Your Imperial Majesty, Defender of the Miles!
I am rolling on the floor laughing! Alas, on that day I fly to the US ex-DUB on a very nice J-fare that you so kindly suggested at the WAW do! ^

Much as we enjoy accolades from our subjects, the credit for finding the nice US J-fares ex DUB (of which I have also booked one, a couple of weeks later than yours) should go to the Flyer-Talker Terbang (see here).

To others: the position of Imperial Escort has been taken! Bribes for the discount/promo code are now irrelevant, as I booked the return trip (GLA-AMS-CDG in Y, CDG-GLA in J) as an award (45,000 miles + €90).

I shall endeavour, in the near future, to discover what (if anything) the authorities at Glasgow Airport will be doing in the way of a Welcome Party for this first flight.
