AF84 (CDG-SFO) A380 Business Seat
I'm getting conflicting information on what exactly the business class seat is on this plane. Is the seat a full lie-flat bed? I read a lot about NEV# and am not sure what that means, and it seems there are changes happening on the 777s, but this flight is no longer a 777, it's not the A380.
Seatguru says they're "angled lie-flats." AF.com says they're "beds."
How does the seat compare to the DL flights from CDG in business? I recently did DL88 (to SLC), on the 767, which seatguru refers to as flat bed.
Thanks!

Depending on the frame, it is the 3rd or 4th version of the NEV seat on the A380. It's a lie-flat seat but very slightly angled (as opposed to fully horizontal for DL).

My mistake (I thought it was 2016). I apologize for that. But, yes those information on AF A380 are still valid today. AF has finally decided to retrofit the A380 fleet with the new BEST seats, but the process will not start before next year.

KLM also has 787 on the line. Otherwise neither AF A380 nor the 777 flying on the route have BEST configuration.

Am I too optimistic hoping for the new BEST seats on the A380 by May 23? If they don't start until January, it be unlikely that they have too many refurbished by then.

A380 have not been retrofitted and will not for a couple of years. So, the info is still actual. You can search many threads. I would never prefer NEV to a flat bed like on KL 747. And NEV3 is really bad.

And the rest of the time looks like AF83/AF84, which are the A380s?
I'm looking at an award for next May/June so would the 777s be fully upgraded by then?

How many 777s could they have from CDG to SFO? Either they convert or they don't right? Sounds like two 777s, the AF80 and the AF85? Or is it the same plane which changes the flight number depending on which way they're flying?

But that 777 could be a 772 or a 77W (with or without F). And AF has decided not to retrofit its 77W without F. So only 18 77W with F will have BEST (they are probably all retrofitted by now or will shortly). All the other 77Ws will keep NEV4. All 772 will have BEST (and no F), but that retrofitting process is still going on.
