I did not get the message above. I wonder if they sent it to English speaking members.
I checked my Spam folder, nothing there.

But today I got a message titled "Welcome Back on Our Flights!".
Hence I though that this was it.
Not all, the message was about A La Carte Menus in longhaul Y, listing the various prices.
Strange!

I actually got the mail twice. Once yesterday, once the day before. Just like the previous message they sent out, got that twice as well. Wonder why...

I got the email from AdJ and FG once but interestingly my (young) children who are not Elite Plus and were not impacted by the strike received it 24 hours before me.

AF just released this message which I think is pretty good. It makes me inclined to book AF anyways. The non-striking staff at AF worked really hard during this period.

Well there were plenty of pilots who didn't strike.

Wow - very nice.

Highlights everything good with the company (and that they shouldn't be reduced to a few hundred idiots). I hope the SNPL sees it.

Pffttt, serioiusly, anybody who knows how businesses work.

My company which launches new products/brands every year across the globe is regularly registering things (companies, trademarks, patents, domains, holdings, etc.) around the world as one of the first steps in the pre-project phase just in case. Happens way before any decisions are made, just in case we get the go-ahead. Nothing worse than working on a project for six months to find out someone else has done it first... Doesn't mean anything at all.

Well done. Gives a human face to the company and has a good mix of "we care, we were affected as well, we know that you may not trust us right now".

Many have suggested that AF should charm us back with a super fare sale, upgrade vouchers, more FFP miles.

You can now have all of that - on British Airways! On their site you see that they offer a free upgrade to First on one leg for all Business class flights till August 2015 booked till 31 October. And you even get the miles and Tier Points of First Class.

Also they run a campaign where every longhaul flight in Business Class earns earns an extra 30,000 miles on top of the miles awarded anyway (example: London-New York for a BA Silver is 17,290 miles. Now it earns 47,290 miles). See here

AF's videos are cute and their letters are touching. But their competitor just has a much more attractive offer out there right now.

I wonder whether AF is mis-reading ye situation, and to what extent the BA offer comes because it's a moment when it's two biggest European rivals are the most vulnerable because of their strikes. And BA can afford it more than a competitor that has just lost several hundred million Euros because of a 13 day long strike.

Well done BA. AF, what will your response be?

I think you didn't read the fine print. It's not all business class. Many of us Flyertalkers book the cheapest business class which does not qualify for the First class upgrade. It can cost a LOT more for a ticket that qualifies.
