There is no divider on the typical Cirrus seat, but the earphone cabinet door serves as divider if you open it. I have traveled many times on a CX center seat (with and without my wife) and there is complete privacy from your neighbor, but not from the aisle.
As mentioned by Cedricgerald, AF seat cannot move forward so it is hard to have a conversation with your neighbor (I have not flown AF seat but I have sat in it). Also note that the AF TV screen has a very different position and is smallish and far away (near the feet), while the TV screen of the typical Cirrus seat is on the side and can be made to come quite close to the viewer.

They don't, as both seats are not private from the aisle.

BTW why did you fly by yourself in the center seat ? Last minute booking / upgrade /award or you prefer this seat rather than a window seat ?
By the way, F inventory increased on CX for my preferred flight so maybe CX F rather than BA F and bye bye AF J, I'm so very sad hihihi

Yes, but no much as it is tied to the shell on top of the foot rest rather than on the side. Again, I have only experienced the seat on the ground, not inflighht; but it is quite different from a Cirrus seat. That is also clear from pictures.

I have flown extensively (say near 100 times) windows/center CX seats on 777 and A330 (seat is narrower on A330). That is because I typically fly numerous LH per year and also encounters LH planes frequently on regional flights. I often travel with my wife or colleague, so center seat is nice. If alone on a LH flight, I clearly prefer a window seat and do not hesitate to choose two adjacent window seats with my wife. But the difference is not huge, while it can be on some other airlines, like LX or BA.
CX only has 6 F seats, but most of the pax on most routes, like on any airline, are award pax. That is except on "rich" routes like JFK, LAX or LHR. Sp there is plenty of F availability. But they release progressively, so you have to be very proactive in searching, and they go fast. Also, CX often release to MPC members first and then makes it available to other FFPs after a few days. I have a MPC so I can check there.
Remember to book your CX awards soon as BAEC wil drastically increase the number of avios required on partner airlines.

While CX seat might be different, and possibly a bit better than AF BEST, I think that I would be very happy to fly AF BEST. It definitely looks significantly better than BA except for the BA window seat.

Sorry my message was not clear : BA in F (not J) better than AF J (including BEST).
I have an MXP-HKG booked in F but need a positioning flight from CDG, hopefully something will open up from CDG or LHR, we'll

A new update for BEST deployment has been posted by AF. As it would take me too much time to compare from the previous version, I put everything here.
- 5 frames end 2014
- 26 frames end 2015 (so 21 retrofitted in 2015)
- 44 frames end 2016 (so 18 retrofitted in 2016)
So total of 44 B777 in BEST out of 62 today in AF fleet ==> 18 B777 will stay in NEV4 (in config 42J or COI/14J).
- in 2017 : beginning of retrofit of the Airbus fleet (except A340 which will be in the process of leaving the fleet).
List of 2014/2015 destinations and date of 1st flight (warning : it doesn't necessarily mean that BEST is present every day on a specific route)
(J) means that this flight has no P and so is equipped with J/W/Y BEST
(P) means that this flight has the 4 BEST cabins (P/J/W/Y).
- LAX (AF072/069): 6 July 2015 (J)
- JFK (AF012/017): 1st june 2015 (J)

No (outside COI destinations : PTP, FDF, RUN, CAY, HAV, SDQ, Punta Cana, MRU, BKK, LIM, CUN), but I would guess it will be to destinations with low or no competition or when the competitor or partner has a NEV4-equivalent product. So, in this category, I'm thinking about EZE, SCL, BOG, TNR, SGN, some secondary African destinations (without P). But that's just my 2c.

Most of the AF010/011 (CDG-JFK) flights seem to be on the old 777-200 the upcoming weeks.

Well, I can't deny I was lucky then. Just flew GIG CDG HND. GIG CDG was on NEV4 in a 773. Nothing to write home about, in fact. CDG HND has the new BEST seats. It's a totally different experience...
