- 26 frames end 2015 (so 21 retrofitted in 2015)
- 44 frames end 2016 (so 18 retrofitted in 2016)
So total of 44 B777 in BEST out of 62 today in AF fleet ==> 18 B777 will stay in NEV4 (in config 42J or COI/14J).
- in 2017 : beginning of retrofit of the Airbus fleet (except A340 which will be in the process of leaving the fleet).

List of 2014/2015 destinations and date of 1st flight (warning : it doesn't necessarily mean that BEST is present every day on a specific route)
(J) means that this flight has no P and so is equipped with J/W/Y BEST
(P) means that this flight has the 4 BEST cabins (P/J/W/Y).
- YVR (AF374/379): 20 june 2015 (J)
How safe would it to be to assume a flight for YVR-CDG in January 2016 would have the new, lie flat seat? Trying to decide on whether to book the AF nonstop or DL via SEA.

We are talking about 6 months after the deployment date on this route, so it seems safe to assume it will be OK.

Given that AF has decided to sprinkle its new seats on a large number of destinations, it is likely that YVR will only see the new seats every other day.

May I add to that that it has obviously turned a lot more into good old seat roulette than what the original planning and announcements suggested.

Why is so difficult "for AF" to change seats on a plane and to follow their own (already slow) schedule ?

I'm flying august 10th with AF259. Currently i'm assigned to 18A, and I'm flying currently Y, but i seems with the new layout 18A is not existing anymore in the layout.

Is there any updated seat map with the new cabin layout.

Pfffffff

Just think about it...someone may aim to book a BEST seat in 1-2-1 config (which is indeed a very good seat) and then end up on a dreadful NEV2 in 2-3-2 config...for the same price!?!!?!!

Right... Technically, that is not a downgrade, but it really is a different experience...

Yes, you are right: the new Best cabin layout is not shown on AF website and I don't know why, nine months later the first retrofitted plane

Nevertheless, your seat 18A exists , the first row in Y cabin:

and it happened to me after watching my first row upstairs on the 380 for an entire year

Looking at booking IAH-MUC in Biz using Delta points and the seat map on both Delta and Air France are showing 700-300er with 1+2+1 for April 2016. Based on the last few postings on here should I prepare myself that we may end up in a Nev2 middle seat again?

Very usefull list. I have been trying to understand whether my next flight out from CDG to GRU (AF 456 + return on AF 457) was carrying "Full Lie Flat" Business class seats but it was impossible to find the information with AF. The issue - I already had this experience in far east - is that depending on the day you might have an aircraft type or the other with two different layouts. Now this information would be precious for customers who need or want to choose their way of flying. Why airlines are hesitant or have diffculties in providing this info too? I consulted various websites but all had different info about the layout of that specific flights. Is there anyone able to assist me on this? Thanks a lot. (Travelling date would be June 2 - June 8)

and it doesn't appear that seatguru shows any 777 version with the 1+2+1 configuration. What's up with that?

Simply because Seatguru is very often not up-to-date.
