Nice TR! Was thinking of a trip LAX-PPT late November (AF076,077) but can't find the rollout schedule for new J - anyone know if this metal will have it by then? Otherwise will probably fly ATN's new J...

I'd expect te LAX-PPT plane to be amongst the last ones to get the new cabins.

Very nice TR Olivedel!

Here is another Report on the new cabin with a lot of pictures, but Eastbound JFK-CDG

http://flight-report.com/en/report-7407.html

Regarding deployment schedule of aircraft with the cabin, from the report:

"You can find these seats on Air France flights AF008/009 today, and before the end of 2014 on routes from Paris CDG to Singapore (SIN) continuing to Jakarta (CGK), Tokyo-Haneda (HND), Houston (IAH), and Shanghai (PVG). In early 2015, the cabins will also be available on CDG to Dubai (DXB), Douala (DLA), and Sao Paulo (GRU)."

I'm surprised there is no plan to have the cabins on the IAD-CDG market anytime soon. Maybe because they seem to be retrofitting aircraft with no Premičre cabin first

Same as NEV4 then.

I've got an AF009 coming up next month. I even changed my flights for it. Can't wait!

One problem with a missing leg cushion is when eating with the dinner table. Not comfortable to fully stretch your legs to the fixed remote cushion (even usually impossible as blocked by table) and your legs are left hanging down. I like to get the usual leg rest half up.

Yes, same issue as with NEV4.

I usually prefer to have my feet on the ground and the seat nearly upright when I dine. No problem on any seat when you're tall. But, I wasn't aware that some people have their feet dangling from some seats!

Flew BGSPT

Just had the chance of a CDG-NYC last nite with fully renovated f-gspt,
New seat in Business class are great as you can read from other posts... I wonder whether they will stay in shape for a Lon time as they are already scratched, broken band some have electrical malfunctions.

2 negatives remarks:
I personally don't appreciate seating not in the way the airport is flying; this is creating strange feelings in some situations.
Second but not the least, there is no trash, or space to be used as a trash.

PNC said all is under review, expecting a second refurbished aircraft in September.

I do not get your point... All seats are facing forward in the new BEST cabins, unlike UA new J class for example.

I do not recall a Business class seat with a proper trash can or space (besides SNCF ).

A few words from the mediocre JAL lounge at JFK. it is my turn tonight to try the new seat. I'll take the liberty to use this thread to give my opinion, and also to say a few words on how it correlates with the new KL seat.
