Early Baggage drop possible at LAX??

We are flying from LAX to PPT on Thursday night 23:00 or so on AF, and would like to come to the airport, drop off the baggage and then go out to dinner. Does anyone know what time the baggage drop is available at this terminal (2)?

Should not be a problem. I have dropped bags off 4-5 hours before my flights to CDG out of T2, then headed out to diner at the Encounter resturant.
