One of the nicest airports around and great (airport) lounges too. Security does not go as slowly as it feels, but when you arrive it will look overwhelming. Even though it is well organised, it may thus be a good idea to arrive early enough at the airport (they recommend 3 hours, 2 is a minimum in my opinion). Security questionning can feel abrupt but they are just there to make sure you are safe in an airport which would be a natural prime target for terrorists, so just play the game and it will go fine. Train connection to Tel Aviv is very pratical if this is where you are heading. Israel is an extremely small state so any other city will be easily reached too by rental car or taxi. Finally, everything is written in Hebrew, English and Arabic and everyone speaks fluent English unless you are really intent on speaking to 90 year old+ people!

There is, but as it is not an AF lounge don't expect to be allowed more guests than your entitlement (just saying because you mention 5 people and not sure how many have access). I'd give it 3 hours to be on the safe side although I usually only do 2 hours myself.
