What goes around...

I wonder how long it will take for the IKK thingy to reverse itself too. Nothing like a recession and a near-death experience to bring airlines to their sense I guess.

About time.

I had issues an RT award last April for LAX-YOW with a YOW-SFO that I later cancelled. I ended up having trouble using it to go back to SFO recently since a lot of days I checked all required IKK and they wanted the additional 7.5K plus 90$ change fee to rebook. I ended up being so frustrated that I asked for my tax back and let the return leg go but was not happy about it.

I had to do a RT award for a 1 way flight for my sister last fall with a very long dated return.. I been having a lot of negative experiences with actual and attempted AE redemptions recently with the fuel surcharges, increased IKK rate, etc. that I am really considering moving to accumulate on CO.

I've never booked a one way Aeroplan ticket before, or ever considered it. Can someone explain the difference between a one way ticket now, and how it used to be?

Hi

Years ago I book a friend on a one way AP award in Y class on a YYZ - HKG flight with AC it was 42,500 AP miles. I also believe at the time only AC metal flights could be booked with this one way amount, I hope they include star alliance partners this time around on the one ways.

Cheers

Yeesh, wish this had come out earlier. I needed to fly two segments this summer (open-jaw) and my fiancee one. I hope we can work it so she has seats on the same flights --but I suppose I should just be happy I got good summer reward seats when I wanted!
