Stay at Delta Hotels and save 15% off AC flights

From the Delta website.

Quote:
Step 1: Book your stay
Choose from 44 hotels and resorts in 33 exciting cities across Canada.

Book and stay at a Delta hotel or resort between February 4 and June 30, 2009, by calling 1-888-890-3222 or visiting www.deltahotels.com

Remember to keep your confirmation number handy to claim your Air Canada promotional code.

Step 2: Claim your Air Canada Promotional Code
Please enter your Delta Hotels' reservation information:

To qualify for the 15% discount on your Air Canada flight(s), your Delta hotel stay must be guaranteed with a credit card. Please call 1-888-890-3222 if your hotel stay was not guaranteed.

Step 3: Book your Air Canada flight and save 15%
Once you've received your Air Canada code, book your Air Canada flight between February 4 and June 30, 2009, for destinations wherever there is a Delta hotel.
I did book a Delta Hotel yesterday and applied for my code this morning. Got it via e-mail with the following info:

Quote:
Air Canada Promotion Code: XXXXXXXXX

Soon, you'll be on your way to your final destination! Now that your hotel room is booked and your Air Canada promotion code is ready, log onto www.aircanada.com to book the next step in your journey - your flight.

This promotion code entitles you (because we think you finally deserve a travel break) to a 15% discount off the best available daily rates for Tango Plus, Latitude and Executive class fares.

Your Air Canada promotion code is valid for unlimited airfare searches. This code is valid for one booking only, up to four people, and cannot be reused or combined with any other promotion code offer. Promotion code is valid for one month after date of issue.

If your hotel reservation is cancelled after booking a flight using your promotion code, a $150 cancellation fee will be applied your credit card. In case the entire booking has been cancelled, including hotel and air, Delta Hotels requires proof of cancellation with Air Canada to waive the $150 cancellation fee.

Let us help you take the stress out of travelling. For any questions or assistance relating to this promotion, please call our Support Line at 1-888-573-4827.

Thank you for booking with Delta Hotels and Air Canada.

We can't wait to see you!
I just tried it on YYZ-LAX route and it was not valid, so probably only for intra-Canada travel. Code expires June 30/09.

Did you only try YYZ-LAX?
What if you try a one way booking from LAX-YYZ, does that work?

Yes I tried one way YYZ-LAX and LAX-YYZ and the code didn't work.

I'm flying to YUL next week, but I think I will save my coupon code for later use. With the current 10% off code, this doesn't really take much more off.

For anyone looking to book 4 tickets YYZ-YVR for instance, it might be worth booking a cheap Delta Hotel room (I've seen them as low as $68/night) just to get the code.

Intra-Canada, i.e. "within Canada" not Inter-Canada, i.e. "between Canada" (international: between nations; intercontinental: between continents; intra-net: within a group; Internet: between/among groups)

So can I essentially make a delta booking. Get my code, use it, and then cancel the delta hotel booking. Or are these for non-refundable hotel bookings only?

My bad! Hadn't had my morning shot of caffeine yet. It's fixed now.

Just realized that I have one of these 15% off codes that I won't be using after all. It's of limited use since the code expires tomorrow, and it's only for intra-Canada flights up to Aug 21.

PM me if you are interested. If there are multiple request, I will give it to the FTer that I feel has contributed most to this forum.
