TAM Brazilian Airlines is currently having a price war with AA. Flights in BUSINESS CLASS from JFK-GIG (Rio de Janeiro) are currently C$1140 all in. Catch is you need a min 7 day stay. I booked one of these for Feb when TAM will definitely be part of Star Alliance. I figure with the COS bonus, this should give about 15K miles.
