Since the connection is at BKK and thus involves a TG sked change (even though AC1 may now get late into NRT, you appear to still be okay connecting there to BKK), then it is TG who is responsible for rebooking you onto a later flight and covering your delay costs, if any. (Also whose metal is the AC codeshare with: TG or NH?)

AC just called to sugest various new routings to HKT but none suitable so we must stop over in BKK due to Tg flight sked changes (ac9556/tg677)NRT-BKK. should be fun with over sized bags for our house in HKT . booking hotel now. will try to re coup from TG ?or AC? taxi +hotel C$175 aprox

If you do have to stay at a hotel I have used this place a couple of times;

Silver Gold Garden Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel. I booked them through ratestogo. They will pick you up and drop you off at the airport for free and the last time I had a lot of baggage and there was no problem. A room is $26US a night. They have a rep stationed in the area with all the other hotel reps and when you show up he calls for the minivan. I am sure it is not as swanky as what you could get for $175, but it is new and clean.

Hi there,

Please take a look at this link (post 3 and 6)

AC pulls out of Nagoya - What are my options?

AC is responsible for all mis-connects due to sked changes. They can put you on another Star Carrier (since this is an Aeroplan reward) or pay for your hotel.

Also take a look at this link as I also quoted an letter to the editor that Montie Brewer sent to the Montreal Gazzette not to mention someone elseīs experience with CIC*77.

AC has changed booking - what are my rights?

One more thing ... CIC*77 are being replaced by "AC-pedia" - a new web application where the rules will sit. CIC*77 is to be mapped to some page in AC-pedia. I donīt fly AC so I have not had the need to locate this page. However, someone at AC should be able to find the CIC*77 corresponding page. In the end, AC should be making all the arrangements. If not, you can also submit your expenses - worse case you file a complaint to the Cdn Transportation Agency as they will contact AC on your behalf, however, I doubt AC would let it go that far.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers
