Excellent, I got mine late December last year, and had to fight to get them changed.
Are you going to post the cert #s for those of us that haven't received the package yet and need to book an u/g? (apologies if they are posted and I missed it!)

They are posted in the FAQ upgrade thread. They've been out for about a month.

Looks like you got ripped off. I just received 2 SSWUs today with a Dec letter, and the certs are for 2009. Maybe yours should get "lost" in the mail.
I simply called AP last year and explained that I felt I should get 2008 certs., and they had a supervisor call me back. She asked me to mail back the "old" certs., and in fact I received the new ones about two days later.
I actually used registered mail (and spent the extra $5 to avoid any issues of "We didn't receive them") addressed to the particular individual with whom I spoke.
Lo and behold, two weeks later, the envelope showed up back in my mailbox undeliverable. I called again and explained the situation, and they just asked me to destroy the certificates.
Maybe yours came with a personal note from Charlie?
My 'ole buddy Chuck writes me on a frequent basis. Not sure why he threw in the old certs. Doesn't matter though, I seem to get far more SSWUs than I can use.
Hmmm. Passed a threshold on Nov 23 and 2008 SWUs were in my mailbox lickety-split. There's gotta be a better way for them to provide this benefit to us that actually has a bit of shelf life (and I do not think e-certs are the way... I like holding the piece of paper in my hands).
I suppose if I was due SSWUs, I might 8itch a bit, but given that they are SWUs, I shall let it pass....
Any idea what one can do with 2009 certs after March 1 if you don't maintain status??
I have no idea how this would work. If you book a flight you want to use the certs on (before you lose your status, so that the *E shows on your file), you might have luck using these. You might not be able to UG at the 4-day window, but would likely have some luck trying to UG at the gate.
