YYZ-SEA upgrades

I'm just a basic member and I notice I can purchase upgrade coupons for YYZ-SEA. My employer will pay latitude fares. This seems like a decent way to fly J for a reasonable cost as long as upgrades are actually available to me at the time of travel. Anybody know how successful a basic member will be obtaining these upgrades on the E90s that fly YYZ-SEA?

I haven't flown the route lately, especially not with the E90. Availability looks to vary greatly depending on the day.

Tomorrow: only showing 1 J seat left on the plane
May 15th: 3 J seats available, all available for the upgrade
May 16th: Already showing J0
May 17th: Showing J2 but upgrade inventory is zero.

Looks like it might be a hard route to upgrade on...

How does one find out how many upgradable seats are available?

For NA fares, I only know of paid services to obtain this. KVS or expertflyer.com

International flights you can use seatcounter.com look for 'I' inventory.

Upgrades on the E90 are tight mainly because the seating capacity is only
9 J on that particular aircraft.

Good news: Upgrades using those coupons - unless it's changed - come from C inventory and earn a 25% COS bonus.

I'm 3/3 on that route with the coupons.

That is good news. Do you know who at AC I can contact to make sure this hasn't changed?
