I'm new to this idea as well... and wondering if the following scenario will work?

I am flying YVR-SFO on Saturday (Oct 25).

I am booked in T+, but I have plenty of NAUs and SWUs with me.

If a flyertalker is flying on a Latitude fare, can I give them an NAU or SWU and get us both upgraded?

It would be quite a treat to be able to use up the coupons if anyone else is flying on the same flight, and wants to get upgraded as well. Otherwise, I just end up throwing them out.

You will not be upgraded, only the other FTer on the Latitude tix.

Yeah, that's kind of what I suspected, after going over all the rules. But I thought perhaps people had come up with a fantastic new theory on making it work!

Hoping for SSWU for the following flights. After completion of these flights, I will be over threshold for AC Elite for 2009, so more than happy to return the favour next year. In the alternative, if someone is going to be in YVR,YYZ or YUL during the connections, and would be able to bring me into the MLL it would be appreciated.

Also flying YUL-YOW-LHR on January 8th...

I'm not sure if we can sponsor more than 1 person on a flight. If so, I do have an extra pair of SWUs that I can use to sponsor someone on an eligible fare on Jan 24 PEK-YYZ and Feb 1 YYZ-PEK

unfortunately, you can only sponsor 1 person (+ yourself if needed)

Unfortunately (but still fortunately) it is the YVR/DFW mileage run for $52 each way, so it is in S class and needs a SSWU.

More unfortunate news for me - flight was showing J2 last time I checked.

Things change though right?

I'm on AC002 Dec 20 connecting to AC622 with a fist full of SWUs and NAUs(not sure how useful they'll be to anyone with the weather chaos expected to descend on YYZ on Dec19)

Likewise, I've read about it on other threads, but I'm going to ask the GA if there are any passengers (obviously not reading FT) eligible to use the u/g cert.

I just checked on SeatCounter.com and it's showing C1 J1 Z1 so I'm even wondering if there's a chance I could get an op-up? Regardless, if the last J seats is still open and someone can use it with my cert, even better.
