This was a typo, my bad... it should have read AKL-LHR 11412. The "official" AP mileage AKL-LAX is 6515.

They must have found a shorter way to go from YVR-KIX. They are now posting at 4904 miles.

This is a good thread. But do the web sites post the information at all?

Does aircanada.com post this informaiton - if so, I could not find it?

Does the KVS tool post this information - if so, I could not find it (although if one goes to ITN directly, one can see this information - eg www.availability.publicbackup.com).

Not really. If you look at the AC timetable, it lists YVR-KIX as 4934 miles, so even that is off.

KVS shows the information if you use the ITN or WorldSpan methods. However, both of those numbers, like the ITN web site, are just a little bit off Air Canada's own numbers. For example, they show YYZ-LHR as 3556 miles, whereas my statements show it as 3546 (and another poster verified that as well).

That's only a 0.3% difference -- but if you are 9 miles away from making the next level, it may be crucial.

I have looked at Worldspan ITN and Apollo ITN - I do see the mileage, after clicking for the pulldown menu.

How does one find the mileage in the AC timetable located at the Air Canada web site?
