I'm assuming using AV is the only *A option to get to GPS, right? Has anyone got other options to get to the Galapagos? Thinking of planning a trip with a stopover in either Guayaquil or UIO ( Quito ) as we have friends in both places.

looks like Avianca Brazil (O6) is bookable again but have only been able to find Y space in random searches. it seems like they're not releasing J space when searching with NH as well?

Yes, we know. You also cost a lot of people a lot of money, including me! I was left with a bunch of unusable miles! Obviously, you're still not remorseful.

Gotta use UA/AC to get there/back, then O6 or GOL while you're down there.

As a sidebar, I haven't checked recently, but even while Avianca was messed up, I was able to find space on Avianca Costa Rica flights. I'm not sure how many routes that'd cover, but if you wanted to get to Central America, it might open some options.

Just spoke to Aeroplan as was looking at some itineraries that included COPA. They said there was a technical error with availability and no time frame for a resolution...awesome.
