Instead of randomly bumping into you a couple times a year in an airport somewhere in the world, it would be great to catch up over some food and drinks!

You know me! I prefer the finer things in life so no, the venue will not consist of blaring music, that is for sure.

Will depend on the date selected. Will follow the thread, and agree with you about catching up. ^

On the move a lot, so will depend on the date and right now can't predict a date that will work...

Well.....like a couple of people above, I am relatively new to FT. I also happen to call YVR home (well the airport itself isn't actually home, but it feels like it sometimes).

Does anyone want to expand on what a 'Do' is? Where would it take place, how long would it run, etc.

It sounds interesting....maybe after spending some time with you (clowns) I would better understand some of the language you all use in your threads!!!

Just dinner and drinks. It takes place over a few hours. Some people (like me) bail after 3 or so hours. Some people prefer to stay literally until they get booted (like Cow, ffsim etc)

Where would it take place? I've always held the YVR Do at the Fairmont YVR simply because there are some people who literally fly in just for the Do, so to minimize their costs, it's cheaper at the Fairmont so they don't have to grab a cab.

Feel free to ask away if you or others have questions. Want to make sure people feel welcome at Dos!

Added a Wiki. Please update it so I can figure out numbers!

Do we need to make an entrance fee fund available to post "bail" for some?

Yeah. Right around my birthday too Funny how things work out! I'd give it a few days though, it is summer time so people probably need more time. I won't be booking my flights until a week or so out as I want to eup.

Had contact today with a poster who has not been here for a while.

I understand that "parnel" will be through the YVR area on or about the 18th of June.

Should we invite him?
