There were a lot of J pax (myself included) going YVR - YYZ - LHR to get away from the 77P J cabin. They are probably hoping with the 789 and the 77P reconfigured to the new J cabin that those pax will stop doing that.

What the heck must Westjet be thinking these days. They jumped into the big-boy game and watched their home territory hit the rocks economically while AC/Rouge added capacity at an aggressive clip. Reminds me of BBD a couple years ago in some ways.
BA probably wishing they had some low-J/Y+/Y 380s in the garage.
Lots of attractive TATL fares exYVR this summer - both in the front cabin and back. I wouldn't book Summer travel until the Spring.

IIRC BA operates 2x 345-seat 744s to YVR, which means the switch to A380 is -221 seats/day. Meanwhile AC is adding 290 seats/day. Net growth to LHR 69 seats/day = 6%.
The real seat growth to London is WS adding around 230 seats/day (6x/weekly). Though since they charge for Y meals, they MAY appeal to a slightly different demographic...

Being from BC I'm pretty stoked on this addition and being on the 789.
Side-note:
On a Flex fare, as E50k, I was under the impression that the EUp window for PE was open as soon as you book? The eUpgrade window is telling me it only opens 5 days in advance?
Maybe I misunderstood something...

I don't see this happening anytime soon. LH and AC seem to have a hand shake agreement on this route and is there enough traffic? LH tried YYC and got killed. Cancelled flight shortly after starting it. Don't get me wrong, I would like to see AC fly this route. If they did, I would have made 3mm a few years ago.
