AC811 (IST-YYZ) - Outraged colleague

My colleague has just returned to work today after a 2 week vacation in Istanbul.

He returned on AC811 a week ago. "How was your flight", I asked.

His reply:

AC - never again, dirty old plane, 2 out of 4 toilets out of order, no milk for my small child, IFE not working, nasty stewardesses...

Need I say more?

Until next trip, when Tango is again cheaper than TK (or whatever airline/destination).

I love the "never again" anger. Then they're bAck on that same airline within 6 months cause it's 30 bucks cheaper.

Googling:
"never again" site:flyertalk.com
reveals the following airlines will never be flown again (from the first three pages of results that I got):

US, CX, UA, AB, KL, EK, LH, OS, CM, DL, SK

And so on.

Yup.

Zero incentive for airlines to change their service offering, but a 100% incentive to offer less and undercut the competition by a few bucks.

This is essentially everyone I know that flies. If it's cheaper, they will fly it, and complain about it afterwards.

A lot of time, AC's fares are more expensive than others.

Many would still buy AC even if it is more expensive.

Actually other than the 'never again' part, the OP seems to have some valid points on behalf of his friend. For a ML aircraft, the comments express a sub-par service. 2/4 non-working toilets in Y ? My last flight YYZ-YVR also had non-working sink in J washroom on the 77 - had to use wipes. Better than a completely non-working washroom.
