Hey Revenue Management! Look here!

I know you guys read this.

Open up a full Y fare on AC1177 on Sept 4th 2015 and I promise to do an immediate upgrade to the existing P space (currently P3R3).

Thanks .

You realize that as SE, you can book full Y on flights that are Y0, right?

Or are you trying to use a flight pass, thereby not actually buying "full Y"

Yeah. When a flight is full like that, they only want to allow extremely high fares on. Your FP Y fare is not an "extremely high fare" that they'd be willing to bump someone off the flight for.

Especially if it's a $90 FP credit

lol ya I know, I have an alert set up for it on EF just in case someone does cancel a booking or something.

And no - it's not a $90 FP credit :P. It's a non sale price latitude FP.

I wonder what sort of numbers result in P3R3Y0? I mean, Y0 suggests that economy is oversold; but in that case I'd expect to see R > P since Air Canada would prefer to have people use eups than to hand out opups.

Lol! I don't at all expect it to work - but figured I'd throw it out there anyway.

Chances are sometime between now and then someone might change their mind, cancel a ticket, and I'll be able to jump on it.

It's R3. I'm not sure what making it R4 would do. People clearly aren't using their eUps

Furthermore, it's R3 on an E90 where it's J4. They have opened up almost the whole J cabin for eups (minus 1) and people are not using them.

The saying "you can't give what you don't have" comes to mind.

Well, in that case I'm surprised that it's still P3. Is it worth selling discount business class fares if it means that you'll have to bump Y pax instead of handing out opups?

Not using?

Or not having?

It's getting late in the year.
