entertaining interview with Aeroplan

http://pointshogger.boardingarea.com...ions-answered/

- Pretty poor interviewer
- terrible questions (which I believe were pre-selected)
- bad and partially incorrect answers
- and the most obnoxious background music ever

I didn't expect any answers to the tough questions (related to YQ, phone booking fees, daily website downtimes etc.), but I really had to force myself to listen through the whole interview.

"A constant thing we do is listen to our members."

[Surcharges are consistent with other programs.]

blah blah same old crap

Edit: Ugh these questions are from people who don't understand the difference between Aeroplan and Air Canada.

Edit: Even the interviewers don't understand the difference.

That was 26 minutes of my life that I will never get back. Train wreck. Useless interview. Lame pleb interviewers.

I agree, Pointshogger's blog was always stating the obvious or writing about obvious things, without much original or useful content

but hey, he got into the BoardingArea blogs
Few Canadian ones and I think only Cad Km, DCTA are really helpful

Perhaps Aeroplan should have a rep here doing Q&As.

They did that a few times with Rupert Duschene many years ago. The answers were either tripe, or "I'll have to get back to you on that." 'Course no one ever did.

Were you at least able to fast forward through the commercials?

If Ben L & other AC reps would get a hard time by coming on here, you can only imagine how much fine any AE reps would get should they reveal themselves and I'm sure they're here in secret - assuming their computers allow them to log in.

I still think AC and Aeroplan can be successful here if they set proper ground rules on what they should respond to - customer services related issues which they can actually help.

As for the rest, simply let the forum be what it is! There is always going to be criticisms. Just like the CBC will always attack them no matter what they do!

No questions regarding the shortcomings of it's IT nor its great customer service. Not to mention the T&C of redeeming points are not very explicit or consistent and this was not brought up.
