Question regarding AC Travel Advisory, and rebooking

Folks:

I need some clarity when AC announces travel advisory on it's website, http://www.aircanada.com/en/travelin...ore/operation/ and it affects your origin, destination, and/or connecting city.

For example, let's say I am traveling to LGA tomorrow (Jan 26). There is a yellow advisory in LGA for snow, deicing and atc. If I am traveling to and from LGA tomorrow, it means I can rebook to another flight, right? If so, what are the conditions…I know if I am on any type of Y fare, I can only rebook within Y cabin. However, when can I rebook, is it +/- 3 days, 7 days, etc….?

The other type of advisory is in grey (less severe. For example, for tomorrow it's BWI, IAD, and DCA. If I am travelling to and from those cities tomorrow, can I rebook, or not?

Yellow Rebook.. Grey, check back later or check your flight at least being going to Airport. Note they on offer refunds if you are actually delayed more than 2 hours or flight cancelled all together

Thanks!

That's what I thought. With a yellow advisory, when can you rebook…+/- 3 days, +/- 7 days, etc…?

I am going to try again….can someone help me please????

Let me be clear with my question: there is a "yellow coloured" travel advisory for YYZ tomorrow. I am flying from YYZ - YVR tomorrow (so far flights are on time), on a flex fare, returning on Feb 2. If I want to reschedule, can I say, leave next Thursday, and come back on Feb 9, without any change fee, as long as there are seats in Y? Is that doable?

Ideally I would contact AC RES, but I am in a remote community, and cell phone reception is poor. HELP PLEASE!!!

I mean no disrespect, but I don't think we know...If I knew I would chime in. I know I'm going to get in trouble for this being maybe not so on topic, but I felt the need to chime in since you've asked multiple times and I honestly don't know the answer.

Try the online rebooking tool and see what they allow.

I believe when you go into the rebooking tool it tells you how much leeway you have. ie 3 days or 7 days etc. If memory serves its usually about 3-4 days to rebook without penalty.

It saddens me that this is where I hear about a travel advisory for my flight

As for your question, just call and ask. Can't you find a landline? Or Skype? You clearly have internet access.
