I'm up for a weekend date
Saturday (or maybe a Friday/Sunday if it's a long weekend in the US) means I'll come, other dates make it impossible.
I'd like to point out that there was a pretty cool do in CLE a while back that huge attendance with people from all over, because it was on a Saturday, and therefore did not conflict with work.
When you host these on a Tuesday night, don't you lose anyone who lives further than YYC?

Maybe a YQF do?? Airport tour and all??
I can make the latter January date that has been mentioned. Also, anything through mid March may work. Unless I decide to skip town for a bit ...which may happen yet.
Keep me updated...CB

I suppose in addition to early January, I can also do March 8 or 9, in theory.

I have an update to pass along to those interested in attending this event as I've reached out to the Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel about acting as the venue but need to start firming up some numbers to allow them to have a better idea of the what we would be doing.
The tentative date is Friday, 13th Feb. and the get together could start with a welcome cocktail at the hotel's restaurant called Halo, perhaps an update from EIA staff on the new routes or 2014 record passenger count, a tour of the hotel and then those who want to have a late dinner or meet with some others for drinks may do so back in Halo. That's the broad outlines and we can confirm more details once we have a better idea of attendance.
The thought process behind the venue is that it's convenient for those flying in from Calgary or those from further afield to attend the event while at the same time highlighting off this relatively new and unique hotel to this diverse crowd of frequent flyer and travel junkies.
Who's all in?

Something like cocktails at 6 - 6:30, EIA update 6:30 - 7 or 7:30, tour of hotel 7:30 - 8:30 and then late dinner or drinks back in Halo around 8:30. Again that's subject to confirmation but too much earlier isn't easy for some to make it coming from work while any later makes it harder for those flying out later in the evening or driving home any distance. Right now it's all tentative.

Aside from the fact that I'm now going to HKG the next day, there are just aren't any sane flights (any airline, any alliance) SFO-YEG that would get me there. I either miss the whole thing, or I have to leave at 10am.
So alas, I'm out
