If I were to take a guess:
1. J, SE, E75
2. E50, E35, *G, PY, Latitude
3 - 5/6/7 Y based on seat numbers

J should absolutely be in the first boarding group. For those SEs who think otherwise, consider that you won't always be SE.
P25K should not be in zone 2. It's already crowded enough as is. Hopefully credit card holders get zone 3, and not zone 2.

If one were to follow *A rules doesn't *G need to board with J?

People seem to complain about bin space in Y, and why priority boarding often alleviates that issue. But I always have bin space issues in J. The number of times my single backpack has not been able to fit in the J bins is unreal. I'm not maxing out my "legal" carry-on allowance and complaining both bags won't fit.
Now, if they can somehow guarantee that a SE in J will have enough bin space for a single roller or something like that, then I don't care if I'm group 1 or 99. But until then, I'd like priority boarding to actually be useful. Maybe the carry-on enforcements will help, but I have not heard of it helping yet.
I've been having second thoughts about this lately. The rules says "There's no need to rush out of the lounge anymore. With priority boarding you can enjoy the freedom of boarding at your convenience along with First and Business Class passengers."
You can read that as "You get to board with F and J." or "F and J can board at their convenience. So can you.". And if you're in zone 2, boarding any time in 2-5 is "convenient", right?
UA certainly doesn't let *G board with J

Boarding group 2 is fine IMHO.
If you hold a UA J ticket, you belong to boarding group 1, so bin space is not a problem obviously.

However, I'd love it if I could count on bin space with a tight connection, or after lingering in the lounge.

I've flown UA J very seldom, but I don't recall a problem. The problem is when you get there at T-35, and there's already a huge line in the priority boarding. If all of J boards before you, space is a problem.
Not so obvious. If you're last in group 1, good luck finding space

As an SE you should be zone 1on UA I believe. I can't remember not being zone 1 with them since hitting SE.

What matters is you are Star Alliance Gold, and hence belong to group 2.
If you are sitting in J, then you are in group 1 regardless of status.
I'm not sure whether you belong to group 1 or 2 when you are sitting in E+ though...it could be the case you were sitting in E+ and therefore had boarding group 1 on your BP.

Why should *G and E75/50 board together? With A3, anyone can get *G with 17K status miles, but you need a minimum of 25K and 35K status miles with AC to get *S, and you need 50K with AC to get *G (there is a huge discrepancy).
I would suggest the following:
1. J
2. All Altitude Super Elite and Elite members (SE, E75, E50, E35, E25)
4. Star Alliance Gold members
5. Star Alliance Silver members
6. General boarding

Being SE has nothing to do with being in group 1 on UA.

Now, for someone with AC status, *G/*S gets you into 2, J gets you into 1.
