Is there any way to get to Hawaii (from mainland Canada) without being rouged?!

YYC-OGG is staying mainline for now.

However nothing is Rouge until towards the end of November.

United is your friend

I do believe that there is still a non-Rouge YYC -> OGG option, but I think it's only on certain days of the week....

As people have mentioned, you can use US airlines.

I am not sure is you are looking for J or Y but a few things to note.

There are vey few wide body planes that serve Hawaii from US airlines, and most of those that do have old style longe seats in J that are very, very similar to Rouge 767s. If you want a true lie-flat product going through the US, it is still do-able, but very difficult.

If you are on the east coast its EASY, i just booked a yyz-ewr-hnl return for $610 and upgrade both ewr-hnl flights onto a nice lay flat bed when i booked my ticket.
No aerolotto and these are UA domestic upgrades, my flights are in Feb.

Oh and just think you also get 100% miles where AC would have given 25-50% at that price.

Those are K fares on UA. You will get 100% miles when crediting to MP, but only 50% when crediting to AE.

Nice option. How much was the upgrade to J?

I did YYZ-SFO-HNL on UA. It was codeshare with AC, so the first segment is with AC and the second segment was with UA. UA had a 767 going to HNL, so it was lay down seats.

It was a P fare, so I got 150% aeroplan. I paid $1800. If I flew AC YYZ-YVR-HNL, it would cost me $3600

Ahhh yes. Indeed.

Also quite useful for plgplg (OP) who doesn't seem to have MP status.
